The Breathe Movement offers trauma-informed programs based on the practice of yoga – an ancient art that harmonises an individual’s physical, mental and emotional psyches.
Yoga stems from the Sanskrit root “yuj”, which has infinite definitions when translated into the English language. We can think of yoga as being in relationship with self, others and our environment. Our trauma-informed yoga-based programs are sensitive to the needs of our participants, and are created as opportunities to experience our bodies regardless of physical ability. Our intention is to allow individuals to harness their inner strength to build emotional resiliency and self-awareness, resulting in feeling safe and empowered in their bodies.
